Self-guided walks
We want to encourage everyone to get out into the lovely Hertfordshire countryside, and to help with this, we’ve devised self-guided walks covering many different areas of the county.

All walkers do so at their own risk. Suitable footwear and clothing are recommended.
Our walking maps use Plotaroute, a free, open-source software showing public rights of way as well as some permissive, informal and private paths that may not be publicly accessible. Hertfordshire County Council maintains the authoritative Rights of Way Map showing public rights of way across the county.
