Dacorum Borough Council completed a public consultation on the Dacorum Local Plan ‘Emerging Strategy for Growth’ in February 2021.  This was the required consultation stage prior to the preparation of the Draft Local Plan. It covers the area of Hemel Hempstead, Tring and Berkhamsted and surrounding countryside and seeks to provide for 16,600 new houses and over 100,000 square metres of employment floorspace up to 2038.  We have significant concerns about Dacorum’s proposals.  During the consultation period we shared our concerns with dozens of stakeholder and community groups, all the town and parish councils in the borough, the borough councillors and MPs, and the wider public.  You can read our analysis and impact assessment, our campaign correspondence, and our formal consultation response here.
