The proposed development site is in the Green Belt, and a previous application for development on this site was refused permission. The applicant quotes the recent revision of the NPPF and the introduction of the concept of grey belt as
justification for the submission of this speculative application. We strongly disagree that this site meets the criteria of grey belt. This application is not supported through the Local Plan process and we urge the Council to refuse permission for this inappropriate speculative development.
