Application number no. 25/2215/OUT

Demolition of existing structures and erection of up to 44 new homes with associated access, parking, open space, landscaping and ancillary works

We offer the Council our additional comments following our original objection submitted in February 2026.

The applicant has submitted additional documents in an attempt to further its assertion that the proposed development site is ‘grey belt’. We refute this entirely. Among other reasons, the requirements for a site to be ‘grey belt’ rest on the site being a sustainable location i.e. easily accessible by public transport. The Department for Transport has designed a web-based Connectivity Tool to provide a consistent national measure of sustainable accessibility and this site scores very poorly at 29, i.e. it is not a sustainable location.
