Welwyn Hatfield Local Plan 2016 – 2036

The current Welwyn Hatfield Local Plan was adopted in October 2023 and covers the period from 2016 through 2036. The Plan sets out how and where new homes, jobs and infrastructure will be delivered in the district which includes the main towns of Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield, and villages such as Welwyn, Welham Green, Brookmans Park, Cuffley, Northaw, Woolmer Green and Digswell among others. The Plan provides for 15,200 new homes, and new and expanded employment sites.
