Our representations – Welwyn Hatfield Draft Local Plan to 2043

We’ve submitted our representations on the Regulation 19 Submission Local Plan.

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council adopted its present Local Plan, which covers the period 2016 – 2036, in October 2023.

This new Draft Local Plan covers the period to 2043 and is now at the Regulation 19 “Submission Plan” technical consultation stage. Responses must address whether the Plan is legally compliant and sound, i.e. positively prepared, justified, effective, and consistent with national policy.

We believe there are technical issues with the Plan and it is not sound, and we have submitted our representations as follows.
