This application is a re-submission of planning application number 21/0050/FULEI to which CPRE Hertfordshire objected strongly and is now subject of a planning inquiry. The present proposals comprise minor amendments relating to a minimal reduction in area, and cosmetic adjustments with regard to the promotion of very special circumstances and related matters which would be required for development in the Green Belt.

None of the amendments constitutes any justifiable basis for a reassessment of this application leading to a consent. Our strong objection remains for all the reasons stated in our previous submissions dated 17th February 2021 and 4th September 2020. We urge the Council to continue its defence of highly valued countryside in this area and refuse permission for this barely amended application.
