The proposed development site is within the Green Belt, and it is clear that the open land in this location is highly valued in both amenity and landscape terms. We believe the existing Core Strategy as well as the pending High Court case on the potential de-registration of Woodcock Hill Village Green provide justification for the Council to refuse this application.
