The proposed development site is outside the settlement boundary of Great Hormead and adjacent to the Great Hormead Conservation Area. The proposal is contrary to the provisions of Policy GBR2 of the adopted East Hertfordshire District Plan regarding land in the Rural Area Beyond the Green Belt, such as this site. We urge the Council to refuse permission for this speculative and inappropriate development proposal.
