Request for Screening Opinion: construction of 50MW battery energy storage system, with associated access, landscaping and other infrastructure works under application reference 3/21/0969/FUL

CPRE Hertfordshire has concerns regarding this request for screening opinion (which we believe should have been sought earlier), and we maintain our concerns with the associated planning application for a Battery Energy Storage System. We also believe the proliferation of infrastructure proposals in the Pelhams villages would alter the rural character of the area, and we request that the Council requires an Environmental Statement to be prepared for this and similar energy storage installations.
