Notwithstanding our firm support for sustainable forms of electricity generation, we would like to register our strong objection to the installation of this large solar farm.

There is a proliferation of similar applications for solar energy installations across the Green Belt. The cumulative effects of these proposals will have a significant and damaging impact on wide areas of highly valued open countryside and agricultural land. We have prepared a Policy Statement, providing further information to assist in the determination of applications for ground-mounted solar installations.

CPRE Hertfordshire also has a number of specific objections against this particular application which we have set out.
