Erection of a new dwelling and formation of a new access road

The proposed development site is in the Green Belt, and also in the immediate setting of the Grade II* listed Digswell Viaduct. The site is also subject to an Article 4 direction to prevent unauthorised development of an area which has been sub-divided into plots. We believe that this application is an egregious intrusion into high quality Green Belt land, and which is identified as significant in both landscape and heritage terms by the submitted Welwyn Neighbourhood Plan. We urge the Council to refuse permission for this highly inappropriate development.
