North Hertfordshire Local Plan – Further Main Modifications

We have submitted our comments in the North Hertfordshire Further Main Modifications consultation on the emerging Local Plan. We believe the Inspector has still not taken account of the latest ONS based estimates of housing need, which are lower than previous estimates.  Also not factored in are the impacts of both Brexit and the pandemic.  Taking these factors all together, we believe housing need over the Plan period is significantly lower than that specified in the emerging Plan, and that there is no need to remove so much land from the precious Green Belt for development.
