The proposed development site is in the Green Belt. The applicant seeks to justify the application on the basis of it being a rural exception site, however, no evidence is provided with regard to the demand or appropriateness of this site as a rural exception site. The context of the location and semi-urban surroundings would not suggest that this site is suitable for rural housing.

We objected to a similar application in 2016 and continue to maintain our objection.
