This proposal is part of a gradual encroachment onto open countryside in this area of ground-mounted solar energy generation installations and their associated infrastructure. The proliferation of applications for solar energy generation in the area of the Hertfordshire – Essex border is causing significant concern to local village residents due to the sheer scale of the proposed projects and the encirclement of rural villages.
