Following our previous correspondence on 2nd December about a similar application on the site, another application for barns and polytunnels on what appears to be a different part of the same site would seem to add further complication to the anticipated plans for this sensitive Green Belt location. It also re-emphasises our previous concerns that there may be further proposals for a proliferation of buildings and polytunnels. CPRE Hertfordshire would support community agriculture projects such as that proposed by the application and it would be reasonable in our view for the Council to seek further information from the land-owner as to the longer term intentions for the land. Continued sporadic development would be detrimental to the amenity of this open Green Belt location.
