Proposed solar farm within 106 hectares with associated access, landscaping, battery storage and ancillary infrastructure

We are fully committed to renewable energy generation and support solar energy generation on buildings and previously developed land. According to Government estimates, a very significant proportion of solar energy could be generated on rooftops, particularly on industrial land, warehouses and distribution buildings. We do not support the installation of ground mounted solar plants in the Green Belt and on Best and Most Versatile agricultural land, as would be the case with this proposal. Existing wildlife habitats and recreational amenity would also be harmed by this proposal and we urge the Council to refuse permission.
