This application involves the construction and operation of a solar farm comprising ground mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) arrays and battery storage together with associated development, including inverter cabins, DNO substation, customer switchgear, access, fencing, CCTV cameras and landscaping.

Most of the development is proposed for land in Uttlesford District, Essex, but with some of the infrastructure to be built in East Hertfordshire District.

The impacts of several large solar installations planned for the Essex – Hertfordshire border area would be devastating for the countryside and villages affected, and we urge the Council to refuse this application.
