Guided walks

Please come along on one of our guided walks. CPRE Hertfordshire, the countryside charity, is now leading occasional guided walks in beautiful countryside locations around the county.
One of our charity’s aims is to connect people with the countryside, and what better way to do that than go for a walk and appreciate the local scenery?
Our most recent walk included the undulating landscapes in North Hertfordshire around Whitwell, Breachwood Green and on towards Luton, highlighting the damaging impact of Luton Airport’s proposed expansion on this beautiful stretch of countryside. We’ve published a separate article with more details about the walk and especially about the impact of the airport expansion on local communities.
Before that, we conducted a walk in the Green Belt west of Welwyn village, where we saw and heard skylarks and our route took us through a nature reserve as well as farmland proposed for a large-scale solar farm.
Our next guided walk will likely be in the Spring of 2025. Sign up below for our newsletter and be among the first to know once we’ve finalise our plans. And in the meantime, take a look at our self-guided walking routes all around the county.
