Outline planning application (with all matters reserved except access) for the erection of residential dwellings (Class C3), new access, landscaping, parking and ancillary works

This is a speculative proposal for 50 dwellings on a site within the Green Belt. The application argues the site is ‘grey belt’ which we entirely refute. Further, the site is in a particularly sensitive gap between the settlements of Borehamwood and Elstree which is already jeopardised by two further sites on Allum Lane that are proposed to be allocated for development in the emerging Hertsmere Local Plan. Together the three sites in this area constitute an entirely unacceptable cumulative impact on the Green Belt. We urge the Council to refuse permission for this inappropriate speculative development.
