Erection of Battery Energy Storage Facility including access works, landscaping and all associated engineering works.

The proposed development site is in the Rural Area Beyond the Green Belt as designated in the East Hertfordshire Local Plan. It does not comply with either local or national planning policy with regard to maintaining the intrinsic character of the countryside. The proposed battery energy storage system would industrialise the landscape and there are further concerns regarding fire risk and noise nuisance. We urge the Council to refuse permission for this wholly unacceptable development.
