See the video – a tribute to CPRE Hertfordshire in the House of Commons

27th November 2021

Welcome recognition in Parliament for our work.

The House of Commons held its second reading on a new ‘Planning Enforcement Bill’ on 19th November 2021.

In addition to highlighting the importance of a ‘brownfield first’ planning system, we are pleased that Hertfordshire MPs spoke of the need to enact better protections for the Green Belt and the countryside, and for stronger enforcement action against unauthorised development.

We are particularly proud of the tribute paid, during the discussion, by Julie Marson MP for Hertford and Stortford, who called on her colleague Gagan Mohindra MP for South West Hertfordshire to join her in recognising the good work that we are doing.  You can watch and listen to their tribute on this video clip.
