Installation of 480 Photovoltaic Solar Panels, with an output of circa 240,000kWh of energy, with supporting infrastructure and landscaping works

The site is in the Green Belt and is sloping and highly visible. CPRE Hertfordshire is supportive of renewable energy, particularly solar energy generation on rooftops, but we believe ground-mounted solar installations of the type proposed here would be highly damaging to the landscape and rural character of the River Beane valley. In addition, the application is arguing the site is ‘grey belt’ but we disagree.
