CPRE Hertfordshire

Are you a keen photographer with a love of the countryside? Enter our CPRE Hertfordshire Photography Competition and win a prize!

To celebrate 100 years of National CPRE, CPRE Hertfordshire is launching a photography competition to celebrate Hertfordshire’s beautiful green spaces.

More than just a celebration of stunning photography, the competition champions Hertfordshire’s countryside and invites people to engage meaningfully with the natural world around them.

Whether it’s capturing the peaceful waterways of our unique chalkstreams and rivers, the stunning scenery of the Chilterns National Landscape or the beauty of our ancient woodlands, our competition encourages everyone to explore, appreciate and celebrate Hertfordshire’s countryside. Your photo can show any aspect of the countryside, the environment or the wildlife of Hertfordshire. Your photo can include people or animals if you wish (if they include people, be sure you have their permission). Your photo might include pets or family or might just showcase Hertfordshire’s beautiful scenery on its own.

Get inspired by participating in our ‘Walk 100 Miles’ challenge and take your photographs as you explore our recommended walks.

The competition will launch on Monday 5th January and close on Friday 12th June 2026.

See below for all the details of our Photography Competition including how to enter and the terms and conditions, and read about our Judge, Peter Cox.
