2017 CPRE Hertfordshire Walk of the month 10 Tring reservoirs

The view across Wilstone reservoir towards the Chiltern hills The view across Wilstone reservoir towards the Chiltern hills Liz Hamilton

This 4.5 mile circular walk was devised and test walked by Liz Hamilton. This circular walk starts and finishes in Wilstone village, two miles north west of Tring Hertfordshire.

The route takes in all four reservoirs, the Grand Union canal and its Wendover and Aylesbury arms. For those not wanting to walk this far, there are numerous options in the area for shorter walks.
Much of the route has a good surface along reservoir banks and canal towpaths, but some sections can become muddy after wet weather and in the winter. As well as a long flight of steps up to Wilstone reservoir there are steps in other places along the route.

If you walk this route and have any feedback/photos you would like to share with us, we would be delighted to hear from you.
