2016 CPRE Hertfordshire walk of the month 10 Hexton

countryside around Hexton countryside around Hexton David Irving

A circular walk of approximately five miles starting and finishing at the Raven pub in Hexton, devised for us by our Chairman, David Irving.

The walk starts and finishes at the Raven pub, Hexton. Hexton dates from Saxon times, but was redeveloped as a 'model' village in the 1920s. The walk takes in Ravensburgh Castle, the largest Iron Age fort in the East of England, though now obscured by trees!

Note: all walkers do so at their own risk. Suitable footwear and clothing are recommended. Map and directions
