We have been delighted to receive 22 nominations a great result

A wide range of community and environment based projects in Hertfordshire have been nominated, including Batford Springs Nature Reserve, The Community of Goffs Oak, Bramfield Village Hall Committee, Rivers Heritage Site and Orchard, litter picking groups and a dementia friendly cafe. There are special awards for people and businesses that have made an outstanding contribution to improving life in their community or enhancing the environment in Hertfordshire, nominations have been received for all categories.

Says Rural Living Awards administrator, Gill Bryant,

"Having received no nominations for a Young Person, aged up to 21, in the past two year we are particularly delighted to have received two this year.

We are very grateful to all those who took the time and made the effort to submit nominations. As ever, the judges' job will be extremely hard and we look forward to hearing the results at the presentation evening in County Hall in October where we will recognise the amazing contribution made by enthusiastic volunteers”.

“The judges will be out and about over the summer visiting projects, talking to volunteers and making their decisions”.
