2016 CPRE Hertfordshire walk of the month 6 Furneux Pelham

St. Mary's Church, Little Hormead St. Mary's Church, Little Hormead David Irving

A circular walk of approximately nine miles devised for us by our Chairman, David Irving.

The walk starts and ends at St. Mary's Church, Furneux Pelham, with its famous clock face motto, 'Time flies, mind your business'. St. Mary's St. Mary's is a popular church name hereabouts and the walk also takes in St. Mary's, Little Hormead. Both are well worth a visit if they are open. Part of the original route of this walk is blocked off as at 30 May 2016. According to mine host at the Golden Fleece in Braughing, it has been contaminated with dumped asbestos. Once this has been dealt with and the path re-opens, we will post a route which can be completed through the fields, but for now we have to take a diversion through the picturesque village of Braughing

Note: all walkers do so at their own risk. Suitable footwear and clothing are recommended. Map and directions
